Five years ago I put all stainless appliances in our kitchen. For the last 5 years I have tried one product after another to clean and polish the stainless. None--not one--NOTTA---worked--not even the expensive ones provided by the appliance manufacturer. Hours and hours of cleaning and rubbing and always have streaks and smudges.
I purchased one 12 ounce spray can of Weiman thinking I probably was hoping against hope. Was I amazed. In less than 20 minutes I cleaned and polished a huge 2 door refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, a double wall oven, a small undercounter refrigerator, a toaster oven and a coffee pot with almost no effort. Two days later they are still clean, shiny and streak free. After reading all the glowing reviews, I decided to spend the big bucks on what appeared to be the most wonderful little grill. Since I live in Nevada and the shipping origin was Arizona, I expected it to arrive within 4 days tops. I am sad to report that my first grill arrived 5 days later than their projected date (it took 10 days) and upon opening the box, I immediately saw a crack completely through the fire bowl in the lower right bottom (as you look at it)just as Bob P. in July, 2009, reported. Dismayed, I contacted Amazon, explained why FedEx does not work as a shipper where I live (middle of Nevada desert), requested UPS or USPS instead, and was emailed a shipping label to return the grill. Amazon stated they would ship out a replacement grill immediately.

I was delighted to have grill #2 arrive sooner than expected (3 days) and have it delivered by UPS. Delight turned to dismay again as I saw yet another crack in exactly the same place as the previous grill. Again, I contacted Amazon and sent them a photo showing exactly where and what the crack looked like. I was emailed a label, and made the 90 mile trek to the post office to get the grill back in the mail. I had indicated to Amazon that I was up for giving it one more try; if the third grill arrived damaged, I would be ready for a refund.

Shortly after I sent that email, Amazon contacted me and stated that since I had received two damaged grills, they would refund my cost since it was likely another grill would arrive damaged. Perhaps they opened a few boxes and examined the grills? Maybe the shipment they received from Lodge was all defective? I don't know.

What I can tell you is that I decided to take another leap and order the exact same grill from Ace Hardware. It arrived on exactly the day they projected, cost $20.00 less, and arrived from New York completely intact. So, if anyone orders this grill from Amazon (shipped from Goodyear, AZ), be sure to check it out carefully when it arrives.

Purchase Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue SR8008 Sauce Mop with Removable Head

Works very well! I am very pleased! I had a silicone mop before and it did not hold liquid like this one does. The tip comes off for convenient cleaning. You may be able to find a similar mop of lesser price. I did not want to drive around town looking for one. After you add in the gas you used for driving around town, the price of the cheaper mop would probably equal this one. I say this because the "Raichlen" name on this mop probably raises the price. We bought this grill cover after purchasing a used 1600 series model Ducane grill that didn't come with one. For anyone else struggling out there--they don't make covers for that series anymore (and don't list specs so you can find which one to use as an alternative!)
