Like the title say it works, meaning the light is bright enough and even more importantly it lights up the entire surface area of my Weber Q220 grill. No dark corners. The good thing about the LED lights is that they use very little power so the batteries last a long time but the they are usually not bright enough but that is not so in this case. Only down side is when you are cooking meat on skewers like shish kebabs for example and you want to cook with the lid closed the unit gets in the way of the skewers because the handles of the skewers protrude out.Get more detail about Weber 6503 Q Handle Light.
